Masterplan city of Munster

The new exterior lighting in Münster optimises the energetic situation. Less light is used, but it is applied with specific reflection and uniformly distributed. This leads to cost reduction as to the purchase as well as to the maintenance. The contrast of light and darkness is carefully thought and studied, which has an important positive impact on the visual comfort. The safety and security issue improved for both, vehicles and pedestrians. The deployed lighting toolbox is defined by several parameters and offers various solutions for individual situations. It marks, links, presents, it defines zones and spaces, creates rhythm and hierarchy for squares, streets and green areas inside and outside the town of Münster.
