Monolith on the company's premises in Administrationsbau 5, Roche Rotkreuz

On the Roche premises in Rotkreuz, a new administration building for the pharmaceutical diagnostics division was built.

With its elevated foyer, the ground floor relates to the new space and, at the same time, is oriented towards all sides through its permeability. Above this representative foyer, there are two IT floors and eleven additional office floors for 625 employees. Internal communication is promoted via a spiral staircase that connect two floors. The meeting rooms and individual offices are integrated into the open-plan offices as transparent boxes. The convention center with the large, raised auditorium and the associated meeting rooms is located on the top floor.

The lighting planning defines three overarching theses as a strategy: firstly – bright ceilings, secondly – low luminance levels bundled with high-quality work light, and thirdly – optimization of the energy balance by including ceiling lights as primary light and table lights made of LEDs.

This light installation was transferred to the three main levels along with the use and implemented by means of a newly designed ceiling light.
