Aiming high
Roche Building 1, Basel

With its unmistakable but straightforward shape, the new high-rise office building from Roche fits perfectly into the area and the Basel cityscape, with its 41 floors and workplaces for around 2000 employees, representing an essential cornerstone in the development of the location.

The new building meets high requirements in terms of function and technology. Open communication zones on all office levels rise over three floors, encouraging unhindered exchange between employees. Flexibility in the use of the building is also paramount.

The lighting is designed using a strict grid of circular lights across all floors and areas and reacts to the modularity of the office space.

Drop-shaped pendant lights in the communication zones and the staff restaurant differentiate these areas and set an accent.

The technical and ancillary rooms in the basement are purely functional, illuminated by linear bar lights. The bulging covers of the round lights in the entrance area create an exciting eye-catcher when entering the building.
