Luminous melodies Klosterinsel, Rheinau

After profane re-use and a long period of vacancy, Rheinau Abbey is now being converted into a music center with an attached hotel. The lighting concept was inspired by the spirit of the location and, with its uncompromising power and simplicity, contributes significantly to the spatial calm and contemplative atmosphere. Exclusively diffuse lighting develops soft, flowing light spaces. The existing lights that were re-used were given new technical components after their renovation. A key element of the concept is the frequently used wall lamp to illuminate the corridors, which was specially developed for the project. In reasonable simplicity, designed as a precise body.
