Brilliant vine – St. Jodernkellerei, Visperterminen

The St. Jodern winery is located in the middle of the imposing Upper Valais mountain landscape. The lighting concept for the three-storey extension building enthroned on the shoulder of a slope is a testament to its simplicity and conciseness. Specially developed pendant lights with solid, cast glass covers illuminate the striking vault of the barrique cellar as well as the adjoining lounge area and, in their materiality and feel, are reminiscent of the noble wine bottles. A smaller version designed as a wall lamp creates subtle, warm backlighting of the solid oak barrels. In the new oak hall, a work of art made from over 1500 wine bottles creates a unique, sublime atmosphere. Outside, the narrow appearance of smaller square glass cubes underlines the model of a vineyard.
