Central studying at – FHNW Campus Brugg-Windisch

The polygonal shape of the new buildings of the FH Markthalle respects the urban planning requirements of the structure plan and defines exciting and true-to-scale outdoor spaces.

Inside, the concept is presented as a structured framework based on an orthogonal grid. On four upper floors, around two large inner courtyards and several small atriums, there are classrooms, office workplaces for lecturers and employees, the library and student workplaces. The main entrances, the larger classrooms, and the cafeteria are located on the ground floor in combination with the campus hall.

Overall, the projected basic structure creates both a flexibly usable building and an exciting spatial structure with a variety of lounge and meeting areas.

The lighting concept takes up lines and highlights them. The vertical access zones are subtly staged and support orientation. The emphasis can also be experienced from outside the building
