New standards – Hotel Management School Belvoirpark, Zurich

The Belvoirpark hotel management school in Zurich Wollishofen represents a new type of training concept and accommodates the spatial program of a complete hotel, school, conference rooms, two restaurants as well as two model hotel rooms with different standards.

The project is a successful example of the perfect symbiosis of architecture and light. The spacious rooms, the modern architecture, and the highly professional atmosphere of the new study building invite you to experience and learn the secrets of upscale Belvoirpark hospitality.

The lighting concept fits elegantly into the sublime architecture and sets "highlights." Specially developed lights for the seminar and the restaurant area underline the individuality and the unique character of the building. Large-format chandeliers and wall lights were created in close collaboration with the designer Martin Nievergelt. The chandelier types, cautiously yet deliberately designed as individual objects, surprise their additive formation through a rhythm of the rooms. Plug-in flat steel profiles form the supporting structure, the strict geometry broken up by the brilliance and diffusion of melted edges and air pockets in the Dall glasses.
