On the high house Migros Christmas lights Limmatplatz, Zurich
Finding a concept for the Christmas lighting of the dominant building on Limmatplatz was a particular and demanding task.
Despite the very high proportion of glass in the facade and the delicate curtain metal structure – two aspects that severely hinder light absorption – it was possible to create a coherent overall picture with remarkable charisma and festive appearance.
A design approach inspired by the phenomenon of the shooting star.
Since the effect also has to work during long working hours and the associated background brightness, the dynamic installation was carried out with a cold light color.
