In the Bernese Oberland, right in the centre of Grindelwald village, the newly-built, luxurious Bergwelt Grindelwald hotel complex has 90 exclusive rooms and suites. The hotel facilities include a restaurant, bar, smokers’ lounge, indoor and outdoor spa and wellness area, event room, and fitness room.
As part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the design of the furnishings and lighting in the hotel stands out through the use of selected designer objects. Elaborately designed special luminaires made of high-quality materials enhance distinct areas such as the bar area.
In order to reinforce the hotel concept’s powerful and mystical feel, the lighting was specifically and selectively limited to necessary areas. This high-contrast lighting creates a warm sense of security and an inviting ambience.
