Next stop Busterminal Süd, Brugg

The bus terminal stands out as a light gray concrete square from the adjacent asphalt surfaces and, thanks to its solid material, becomes an urban island. The platform is designed in the shape of a sawtooth and transfers its dynamic effect to inclined concrete support. The platform roof appears as the opposite pole to the stone floor and is given a well-proportioned finish with a sheet steel frame. Slender wood construction made of Douglas fir, supported by beam-like lights provides the bus a warm and cozy terminal atmosphere, visible from below.

On the one hand, the lighting serves to ensure traffic safety and is also a significant element in the design of the location.

The area of the movement zone is illuminated more intensely than the calm waiting area. Spotlights are provided for the movement zone, which are attached and supported widely scattering the light. This can give the passengers a feeling of security. Ceiling spotlights are used in the waiting areas to accentuate the areas selectively. Design aspects are in the forefront here.
