Experience and orientation Sihlcity EKZ, Zurich

A new district with a modern mix of uses has been created on the former Sihlpapier site in Zurich. In addition to the centerpiece, the shopping mall, Sihlcity offers numerous leisure and entertainment options. This part of the city seems to be in operation 24 hours a day. The lighting of the area, therefore, played a central role in the planning.

For the large-scale urban project, the aim was to find a lighting concept in the heterogeneous building structure with a wide variety of uses that would meet the complex demands and needs. A particular focus in lighting is given the appropriate atmospheric quality, which is required for a commercial world of experience.
